Next Week is Sign Up Week.
Next week will be busy with the Junior Golf Sign up and both evening leagues having theirs as well.
Junior Golf is from 4:00-5:30 on Monday and we will give out schedules and lesson plans. Please come by if you can make it. If you can't make it, please call so we can register the kids.
Ladies Night registration is on Tuesday from 5:00-7:00.
Men's Night registration is Wednesday from 6:00-8:00.
Just a reminder to golf cart drivers that the 90 degree rule is still (and always) in effect. Please take care to abide by this to help keep our fairways in great shape.

First Tee Time
Tee times will start at 8:00 this week (except Monday) and go to 7:00 starting on the 28th.
As in the past, members can book tee times 7 days in advance and non-members can book 6 days in advance. Please take care to book for the correct number of players and give us as much notice as possible if a tee time can't be used. We understand when plans fall apart, but it is difficult to find 4 new players 10 minutes before a tee time.

Opening Day and Junior Golf
We are planning on opening the course Monday morning, unless we have a ton of rain on the weekend. The frost is still coming out of the ground and the course is still very soft in a few spots. The greens do look very good and with a little growth should be in great shape.
Junior Golf sign up will be on Monday, April 30th after school in the clubhouse. The fee for the lessons is $20 and is in addition to the membership fees. There will be 5 weeks of lessons with a fun golf day the 6th week. The lessons will be on Mondays right after school starting on May 7th and going until June 11th. The lessons will go from 4:00 until approximately 5:30. The fun golf will be June 18th. There will be no lesson on May 21 due to the holiday.
We will once again be having fun lessons for kids 9 and under in July like we did last year. These will be available to children and grandchildren of members and will be no charge. These lessons will be geared towards kids who have not golfed at all or have played very little. We had a lot of fun last year and plan on the same this year. Look for announcements on dates and times.

Electric Carts
I was just getting the curling rink ready for carts today and I noticed that a few carts had leaked quite a bit of battery acid last summer and did a fair bit of damage to the floor. If you do store an electric cart here, please be very mindful of your batteries leaking. Also, if you are topping off the water levels, please do it outside.
The acid on the floor can't be cleaned off and keeps on coming through the curling ice in the winter.
Thank you for your cooperation.

The next time you come to the clubhouse, you will be able to see our new TV. (Hopefully Nick Kypreos won't be on it.)We'd like to thank Aaron Snidal and Paul Clark for making it possible and allowing us to enjoy the latest in TV technology. The clubhouse will be a great place to watch the hockey playoffs and golf on the weekends.

It twas the week before golf,
And the geese were all still.
It looks like we might be golfing pretty soon, but we can't set a date just yet. It sure is nice to see warmer temperatures in the forecast. Let's hope that they actually happen.
For your information, we have set up wireless internet access in the clubhouse if it is of any interest to anybody. I thought that if someone was having a business lunch or just wanted to use it, it might come in handy. There is a password to get on, so if you do want to log on, come by the pro shop and we will give it to you.
For those of you who have been here long enough to remember Debbie Pritchard, she is now the Head Professional at Minnedosa Golf Club in Minnedosa. If you are going by make sure you drop in to say hello.
Make sure you keep checking back for updates.
